    I'm considering picking one up for my lil' bro, but I was wondering, how big is the figure? I've seen pics on tfu.info, but I'm not getting a good sense of its size in relation to other figs.

    And for people who have it, how good of a beast TF is it? It looks pretty fun to me, for a clock/raccoon.:)

    Its actually a Tanuki, an animal from Japanese mythology that always carries a bottle of booze and has giant testicles. I am NOT making that up.

    Anyway... Heinlad's about the size of the average Cybertron Voyager when in Robot Mode, shrinking down to Deluxe size in Beast mode.

    I've always wandered what that thing was supposed to be. Now that I know, it's a little creepy. Peace out.

    Actually, tanuki is not a mythological creature. It's just Heinlad's alternate beast mode is supposed to be this;

    Porcelin tanuki, which for some reason has been a mascot for Japanese liquor shops.

    Heinlad is pretty neat, though I have doubts about the quality of his alarm clock. Mine's broken :(

    Even if you dont like the clock (mine does'nt work) he's still a great addition to the Beast Wars. He almost feels on par with BW ape Prime.
    His robot mode is up there with him and the early BW's like Polar Claw & Bboom.

    He's worth importing, especially if you have most of the Hasbro BW's. Really wished they released him here in the states.

    There's also a ko of him out that's fairly durable. Oh yeah, and that's not a purse. Forgot the actual name too it.

    I think one's a sake bottle (maybe that's why it wasn't released by Hasbro...a kids' toy with a liquor bottle :lol ) and the other "purse" like thing is actually an account book. As I said porcelin tanuki is a shop mascot.

    The clock on mine is broken as well, I fixed it once, but it has fallen apart again, I'm almost tempted to update him with the digital version of the clock, that'll be a fun kitbash... So, those are his nuts eh...? Wish I didn't have that piece of info

    P.S. he has a green visor that flips up and down, very cool looking!

    I used him as an alarm clock until the needles fell off, I love it as an alarm clock, because you really have to transform him somewhat to turn it off :D

    Are needles falling off a common problem? I want to use him as a clock, but I'd rather not if the needles are going to fall off.

    I'm trying out the alarm tonight. Excitment!

    I've had mine for a few years and the clock is still ok, not sure if it works as the battery died. It makes a good alarm clock as I used to use it for that all the time. Sadley I lost his weapons a loooong time ago.

    Tanukis are mythological creatures. The animal they're based on is called a raccoon dog.
