I know he is a base for the Micromasters, but in comparison to the other "normal" sized bots, how big is he (scale wise from the 'toon)?

Fort Max size, gestalt/Omega Supreme size, or roughly the same size as Star Saber/God Ginrai/other "leader" type characters?

The toy is just a head shorter than Star Convoy or Super Ginrai. About the height of Metroplex, although I'm at work and can't check for sure until tonight.

Cool, I was inquiring more about the 'toon depiction though. You know how Metroplex and Omega Supreme are the same size, toy-wise, but in the toon there's a huge difference in the "real" sizes.

Grandus is a Base-Bot for sure but he's pathetically fat & broad in size. Theoretically speaking, there's no way to ascertain his height or size as he never appeared in animation/cartoon. :redface2:

But I still love him all the same. :D

This was one of the only comparison pics I found online. I'm not familiar with the other two, though.

Sorry, since this was in Toy Discussion I didn't think it pertained to the fiction. Moving to TFGD in that case, which should be more helpful.

Sky Garry and Sixliner are the other two illustrated above. Sixliner on the left, he was the first Micro combiner.

I think he's around a larger regular bot size, like say Soundwave, but smaller than Ultra Magnus.

That picture is kinda confusing. It shows him as just being a fraction larger than Sixtrain, who is (as his name implies) just 6 Micromasters piled on top of each other. Grandus, though, is an entire base/city for Micromasters, so he should be able to fit multiple Sixtrains inside himself. He's probably not as large as Omega Supreme (and definitely not as large as Metroplex), but he's definitely bigger than a nomral Transformer

It could be a mass shift on Sixliner's part, where he grows in size when merged. You see that with Devastator a lot in fiction, where a cement mixer leg grows to the size of a ten-story building, for example.

Cool, thanks for the replies, fellas. I'm thinking about doing a custom Grandus, but was wondering what overall size I should go for.

    ^ Interesting. :thumbs2:

Any idea what "series" to put him in?

I'm hoping for an updated version of him done in Classics/Universe/Generation's fashion as we've seen an Animated one this far... :thumbs2:

Maybe Grandus isn't really standing that close to the other two Transformers, because he's that huge.

Kind of like how they made the actors playing Hobbits in Lord of the Rings look smaller, by simply filming the scene from a certain angle.

Don't know what series yet, thinking about using Cybertron Metroplex as the skeletal base and just keep adding to it (make him very bulky but not "fat" as the original G1 figure is).
