    Hey everyone,
so something that I've been wondering is, even though the answer seems universal, is Jetfire really dead?

When I watched the film for the second time, I noticed he rips out his spark which is in, I guess a spark chamber and throws it to the ground, it looks like its still beating(alive) from the blue glow it emits, and I noticed we don't see it again after that; but did Jolt really attach Jetfire's spark to Optimus? We see all the parts flying past the screen but I never saw the Spark merge or connect with Optimus. It just disappears.

So does anyone aside from me think theirs a possibility, after the fight they had Jetfire's spark or spark chamber in their possession? I sort of hoped Jetfire would be reformatted at the end into a new form, I got the idea after seeing the Stratosphere toy and thinking it was a reformatted Jetifre, before his name was revealed. If you don't think he survived at all, do you wish he did though?

Unless he gets a serious reformatting which causes him to not look like the robotic version of Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean, I hope he's deader than Rick Astley's career.

I guess it would be plausible if he lived...but I think that guy is dead.

Well he has no body anymore, they could find a new alt form or build him a new body. For all we know, Ratchet could be a prick and chuck his spark into a toilet, and thus the birth of toiletron.

I'm pretty sure the Matrix was destroyed when Prime blew up the sun harvester. But why would they need the Matrix when his spark was still alive...they'd just have to put in a new body :)

I hope he gets back in a younger form, he was a truly sweet character and had more depth in his 10 minutes than the G1 Horrible hack characters in his 25 years.

THIS! I kinda had a soft spot for that ol' fart. A kickass, humble and likable character. Humanized. :thumb

On the contrary, now that you mention it, he actually does look a bit like Davy Jones. He's got the cane, the "beard," and the fly British (sounds a little bit Scottish?) accent.
