i have a custom in the works that i'm really digging...
i'd really like to seal him but only have testors gloss cote
have heard REALLY great things about future floor polish but needed to know if that also gives a shiny cote to it or not... and information on this or other alternatives would be greatly appreciated

Future Floor Finish, yes. Polish, I dunno. But yeah. It gives everything that nice wet look, which looks especially great on Alternators.

I'm probably mistaken (because I don't use 'em), but I think Testors or Tamiya makes a spray-on matte clear coat. If I were you, I'd give that a try.

Also, if you water down the floor finish a little bit, it still seals it, but makes it not as glossy. It still ends up a little glossy, but not NEARLY as much if you just used it straight out of the bottle.

yeah. I prefer the testors over the tamaya any day. it gives a much better matte finish.

you can actulally use the tamiya flat base 20% with 80% of future floor varnish and it will flatten it like you wish ;)

Don't use Future with Tamiya paints. They are enemies.
