    Not sure if this is the right place to bring it up but...

    I would like to enquire about the reason for the closure of the above-mentioned group in title...

    It was a good thread to gawk at while allowing others to add a bit of humour into life so yeah,it's sad to see a thread like that gone..

    ^This! :cry :

    Edit: IMHO, the reason behind the closure is because the replies/ posting of hauls which are considered "Holy Grails" should be limited in the "Social Group" version only. :rip :

    Other tfw2005 members who is not an invited member of above mentioned group might be deemed redundant by posting in a (sic) "pointless" break-away thread...:(

    "One shall stand, one shall fall!" :D  ;)  :lol

    Since there's this rule, you might want to PM GogDog and ask, since he closed the thread.

    well, by posting a thread (whoever may have started it or posted to it asking the same), you are actually questioning the actions of a mod.

    there's no gray area to that, really.

    You can be curious to know why, but to be absolutely safe from breaking the rules, pm a Mod and just ask them directly.

    And sometimes, i am glad to be kept in the dark over such things. it's safer for me, lol.

    {EDIT: He gave a reason. he posted it at the end:
    Seems logical to me.}

    How are people supposed to find out the group exists without the thread? As you need to comment in the thread to receive an invite? Usually the decisions of the mods are bang on so I'm sure there is a reason I'm not seeing.

    By looking at the Social groups section.

    Or you could PM the group starter. And most groups are public and don't need invites, anyway.

    Besides, if you're not looking for the group, obviosuly it's not that big a priority. And the thing is, you can have a thread about G1 holy Grails, just not a thread about the G1 Holy grails group. Because that's a little redundant, wouldn't you say?

    If a member makes a group invite only, then that's his decision, but the consequence is people can't just join...he has to invite them.

    A G1 Grail Thread is fine, but starting a group, then starting a thread dedicated to your group is redundant.
