Hey, so I have both versions of the Classics Megatron (the Hasbro nerf gun looking one and the Henkei one). The wings really bug me and make him hard to pose with others on my shelf, which is kinda small. Any ideas on how to get them off with out totally breaking the toy. I'd like to keep them intact so i can transform him back. I may be asking too much, but help would be awesome.
    Thanks!

If I remember correctly, it should be just a screw or 2, I took mine off

Remove the pin keeping them in place. This will make him into a partsformer but he's still transformable.

There's a mod where you can keep the pin in and pop the winds in and out of place using the pin as pegs. Just file lines into the back area above the two exposed sides of the pegs, and it'll pop right out.

    Here'show it'll look after:

Megatron's big 'M' wings are awesome. You all suck.

    Riveting tale chap. haha

But no, I actually really like them. I jsut took them off for more shelf space posing him. Then I just plain liked the total G1 vibe I got with them off. If I ever had a "flying" diaroma or why to display, I'd totally have them on more frequently.

Awesome. thanks in advance. And those small quick fixes are the best..

HAHAHA I like his wings for the most part but I'd like to have the choice of taking them off.

I did similar to my United Megatron, except that I carved the slot into the grey hinge piece, instead of his waist piece. That makes the mod virtually invisible. And I made sure that the slot left a "C" shape, rather than a "U", so that the wings actually clip back on firmly.

The downside to doing it my way it requires removal of that pin, and because it's knurled down the entire length, it was a royal pain in the ass.

Doesn't the trigger part need to stay on to keep Megatron solid in robot mode? I've never really done anything to a figure other than re-pain some Marvel Legends stuff. I'm just worried about really messing up.

the figure just does not look good without the wings, it looks like it is missing some huge part, and it is

Nope, his right shoulder locks into the torso and keeps things solid.
