Is the silverbolt in BW the same as G1 Silverbolt?

The one that helps form Magnaboss with Prowl and Ironhide is, the dumb as hell knight with a hankerin' for a spider lady Pred is a different person entirely.

Which Silverbolt in Beast Wars? :p

The Fuzor I don't think so. The combiner from Magnaboss? Maybe. I think so. I'm not sure. Aren't Ironhide and Prowl supposed to somehow be their G1 counterparts?

Bum - beaten to the punch again.

The chivalrous Fuzor with a thing for Blackarachnia? No.

The eagle that combines with elephant Ironhide and lion Prowl to create Magnaboss? Yup.

EDIT: Dumb as hell? ...well, I like you, Silverbolt.

The fuzor on the show it not him. The Silverbolt that forms Magnaboss is him though.

What's the source on the Magnaboss trio being reincarnated G1 characters? This is the first I've heard of that...

Yea, I also thought it was just popular fanon. although, if i remember correctly, it is alluded to in the toy bio.

Edit: Apparently they are the same character. Its confirmed in the Beastwars source book.

Personally i'd rather have themk as seperate charecters.

Espicially with Prowl and Ironhide's Death in TFTM.

I always thought BW was a continuation of the g1 comic moreso than the original cartoon. that being the main reason they're alive and well in beastwars.

That's what I had heard as well.

But yeah, the three components of US Magnaboss are the G1 characters in Maximal bodies. This is further evidenced by Silverbolt (the wolf/eagle Fuzor) and Prowl (the Transmetal Owl) being separate characters from the combiners.

Further confusing the issue are the toy bio implications that TM2 owl-Prowl might (kinda sorta) have the spark of 'the' Prowl. Magnaboss's's's toy bio mostly describes how awesome Magnaboss is. :)

But yeah, Fuzor 'Bolt ain't the G1 guy.

It's definitely a follow up to the cartoon with all the refrences, the Ark, The Nemesis, the Key to Vector Sigma and the plasma energy chamber, all seem to be directly from the G1 show.

Shit, what about Beast Machines Silverbolt? or Rhinox for that matter? WTF happened there? Silverbolt the ultimate white knight a huge bad guy for a while? Who the hell was that guy? No amount of reprogramming excuses what the writers did to Rhinox and Silverbolt in Beast Machines. [IMG]

LOL sorry, that crap has always bugged me. Rant over, nothing to see here....:drunk

The Ark and Nemesis happened in the Marvel comics too. No one says there was no key or chamber there too. Also Primus is from the comics. Plus in the TV series Prowl and Ironhide were dead, which sorta points to the Marvel comics, although the Beast Wars TV series also fits into the Dreamwave comic universe, and the Devil's Due comic universe.

That's because it's a different character in Japan. That one is named Skywarp.

No relation to the G1 Skywarp, though :D

Beast Wars II Skywarp and Beast Wars eagle Silverbolt are seperate characters. Lio Junior, Skywarp and Santon were reformatted to make a replica of the original Magnaboss team of Prowl, Silverbolt and Ironhide, which is why Skywarp looks like Silverbolt. It's all the the Beast Wars Sourcebook.

Where are you guys seeing these toy bios? I didnt' know there were individual toy bios for the Magnaboss guys.

Aaaahh... so it's "new" canon. Basically just the "fanon" written by the guys at IDW. :)

See, that's a little lame, isn't it? They're really trying perhaps too hard to tie Japanese Beast Wars into their own BW continuity. I mean, to the point of creating TWO Magnabosses? Wha?
