Hello guys, a friend of mine asked me about this 2-pack but I am a little confused about it. He tells it's a Japanese 2-packs with the first molds of Optimus and Megatron from BW that had recolor and remolds.

Does anybidy has got this 2-pack? What'a the exact name? Any pics? And most important. How much is it worth?Any place or someone who would like tos eel it?

    Thanks a lot!

The Japanese version is refered to as BWR-01. It was about $80 new and comes with a golden disc.

The American Toys R Us version is about half the price, but comes in a cheaper box without a golden disc.

Nope. But in the American version, at least some Megatrons were shipped with a small part missing from a ratchet joint in the waist.

No problem. They are really great figures. The original versions were great, and these take those and improve upon them drastically.

every single japanese and US megatron is missing that waist piece.

some japanese megatrons don't have eyes though. I know of three people who had this problem.

I've heard about the Japanese Megatron sometimes missing eyes, but not about them missing the waist piece. Mine doesn't seem like it. Seems every bit as tight and ratchety as my original Japanese Megatron. Unless, it's just tight enough without it...

Same here, my BWR-01 Megatron ratchets just fine. It's most certainly not ALL Megatrons that have this problem.

That's pretty much the case with mine. It doesn't ratchet, but it's not loose.

That's why I love this forum! Always tons of nice info! So, so far I understand that both american and Japanese editions are the same.

That info about the missing part is itneresting. Anybody has got a pick that shows where the missing part is?

I don't know of any pictures, but it's on the inside of his waist. You'd have to take him apart to see. I doesn't really matter too much, though. Just makes the waist a little looser so it'll turn more easily.
