Odd that they use an old concept drawing of Optimus Prime for the cover art. Never seen that picture of Jazz before.

If this actually is animated (and not scrolling comic panels), I think I might break down and buy it.

Doubly so, since it comes with the Widescreen version of the film.

Too bad they can't package this with the 2-disc version of the movie every other store seems to be getting. I hate to buy this just for the bonus DVD but that's exactly what I'm going to do. Combine this "prequel" with the 2-disc movie set and I'll be watching them daily for at least a few weeks.

Hope it comes with the HD-DVD version, as I'd like to keep my purchase to one version/disk of the movie.

I just saw this image.... still not sure what version I am getting :(

If this was animated, I may get the Walmart version. But not sure at this point...

I agree. I don't want the single disc version but I would really like to have this animated thingy.

I'm thinking Circuit City's 15 downloadable content is actually this animated prequel. We'll know next week!

Like Bay's "extrea 5 minutes in Imax" if it was fully animated, they would have already told us and showed a clip, to get us more excited. By not showing it, we buy it out of curiosity, because they know if they reveal that it's not fully animated, people will go buy another exclusive. Just like some people skipped out on Imax because the footage wasn't of the bots.

reminds me of the bonus disk that came with Revenge of the Sith from Walmart.
It was just C3Po retelling the SW story with clips from the movies.

is it just me, or does anyone else think the cover bears a strong resemblance to the Beast Machines DVD cover? Just kind of random . . .
