Well, it looks like our beloved quality control has decided to take a vacation again with the Nest line.

Bumblebee is the worst offender, and finding a Dirge with no paint app mess ups was difficult. Armorhide seems OK, but really, not many paint apps to being with per se.

    One off? Worse to come?

The first releases of a wave are often the most likely to have QC issues, since errors still need to be corrected, no? Could be just a bad batch.

I have heard people say you can fix that with hair dryer. Heat it up with a hair dryer and keep it straight as it cools. Personally i dont have Bludgeon and cannot attest to this but i have seen it here on the forums before.

Well, I've found two that make me wonder. Namely, Legends class Skids and Mudflap.

I can lock Skids's chest down on a tab, but it takes a little bit of force, and mine was showing stress marks from the first time I did that. It locks securely in place, though, so I can't help but think that was intentional.

Mudflap's chest also seems like it can lock down in a similar way, but... it doesn't. Either I'm not applying enough force, or it just wasn't meant to be. Sure, they're cheap little $5 toys, but... I don't really want to break em. That's $5 I can spend on another Legends figure - or go towards some beer. ;)

The first Recon Irohide I bought was absolutely THE worst figure I've bought as far as TF goes.

It was worse than most KOs I've dealt with.

i hear the QC paint crys and it just makes me want to slap you guys......try having 33% of figures you buy be missassembled (and it usually was something rare like universe inferno and animated wreck-gar)......once you have that happen, then you can complain......i would have been happy with a wreck-gar with paint issues......it is two of the same footflap that is a real issue

Yup, noticed the sloppy paintjob on the NEST BB, many have some yellow paint on the windshields, excess black paint on the front bumper. And I dunno why, the figure actually smells different from my other Dx BBs. It has something like a chemical smell.

I have to exchange my Bludgeon because the brown paint on his head came almost completely off right out of the package.

Haven't really noticed much on mine but then again I really couldn't care less about a bunch of paint apps anyway.

I looked at quite a few Dirges at my local Walmart before deciding on the one with the best paint apps. Most of them were very sloppy and many already had stress marks on them. I had better luck with Armorhide, thankfully. Otherwise, I would've been in the toy aisle forever.

Haven't really noticed much QC problems on my figures. A couple of small paint chips on Bludgeon's helmet, but... I guess I don't care as much, go figure.

*bangs head on desk*.....i swear......sloppy paint apps isn't nearly as bad as several missassembled figures......i would rather hasbro to work on that before fixing this "paint" problem......

My Dirge and Bludgeon are fine, thankfully, and I picked mine up the first day they were spotted at retail.

I didn't elaborate on the first Recon Ironhide I bought.

    -Had two right fists.
-Plastic tree sprues were still on the head.
-Waist joint was so badly molded that they put in a metal pin thinking it would fix the problem. It didn't. The second Recon Ironhide I bought had a good waist joint which didn't even have the metal pin.
-Arms were so badly molded that it didn't stick together in truck mode.
-Some mold details were so bad that it looked like it was melted.

I've never looked closely enough at my figures for paint aps or anything. Even QC problems go unnoticed by me. I should pay more attention.

THIS IS TRUE QC ISSUES PEOPLE, "sloppy paint", while can be a bit annoying, IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am tired of people complaining about QC down the crapper cause paint is a bit "sloppy"........sure is it technically QC issues? yes, but it ain't as troublesome as a figure with issues like this
