I've got a guy willing to make me a REDLINE kitbash if I get a red Meister, hotrod junker, and a GTO model car... problem is, I can only find either 1:31 or 1:25 scale GTOs! Does anyone know if you can use a 1:25 scale car to kitbash an alternator?? Help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Andy
depends on the whole size of the car, difference might be minimal, or could be extreme you should try to get all kinds of sizes for the modelkit and compare to those in Meister
at least in this case, a 1:24 and a 1:25 scale 2004 GTO would have close to no difference, but it will still be hard to make it fit on a meister frame, but anything is possible
hey, I just wanna hold and see a real REDLINE I honestly don't care who does it, long as they have the skills! this isn't gonna be a speedy project cause its gonna cost me a pretty penny. I only got ONE guy to say he'd like to try it.... so I don't have much choice the good news is I have confidence in the guy, he's done good stuff before, I'm only saying its nice to have the ability to choose. hope ya don't take that wrong, ADG! Andy
going by your sig pic redline is only slightly different from smokescreen so you don't even need much of the model. I used a 1:25 H1 model for my Motormaster and found that it's close enough. Not much size difference, and 1:25 seems to be far more standard for models than 1:24. Honestly I don't know why hasbro went with 1:24.
I've got this model kit of a Porsche on my shelf that is 1:24 scale.... It's too bad I can stomach the idea of disassembling my precious alternators.
Sledge. Go to TRU. They've got someof the older alternators wrapped together at 2 for 1. That's where I got fodder for my motormaster and starscream.
Interesting. I have a 1:25 KITT model that I still need to build. I have been toying with the idea of taking an extra Sideswipe and doing a kitbash of him. I might possibly go thro with it now.
just bought a spare sideswipe from Zellers for $10.... I can't do it though... my precious. Maybe I should just scratchbuild the parts.
