What did you think of Revenge of the Fallen Devastator?
He's a giant vacuum gorilla robot made up of several construction vehicles.
His design was very original.
In a nutshell.
Waste of CGI and time.
very origional indeed
Also, sooooo much wasted potential.
Needed more time, but we got him, right?
A very original and interesting design that was ultimately wasted by turning him into a glorified can-opener.
I like him, actually. He captured the monstrous side of the concept of Devastator, i.e, a big dumb brute who is designed to destroy built out of construction vehicles.
Diffently very intemidating and cool.
I thought he looked so got damn awesome. Like a a harvester of death, with anything in it's path dead.
I just wish they gave him more screen time though.
That and he should'nt have died.
Like most have said already, I wish he had more screen time and a more involved role... BUT he looked awesome I thought and one of my favorite parts of the film was when the constructicons were forming him... THAT was awesome and well done in it's brutality!
I personally wished that he was actually turned loose on the Autobot/Nest contingent that was there, instead of hoovering up the desert and a pyramid.
A giant, over-glorified vacaum cleaner made out of construction vehicals.
Great design, but what did Bay smoke that day he decided on adding wrecking balls? In TF3, I'm wanting to see him combine from actual robots, not just boring vehicles laying around.
Also, he needs to be a bit quicker, he seemed to run on turtle-power, rather than horse power in ROTF,a second thing I wasn't too happy about.
That Overload and Hightower design would have been nice to see in the film, well I'll be crossing my fingers for them to show up for the sequel.
I didn't mind him one bit. The transformation was impressive, and I'm used to the Decepticons being more animalistic than the Autobots. He was big and dumb, just like Devastator always was.
Got to say I was really disappointed.
The trailers made things look hopeful of he's huge, they seem to have put loads of work into him, so he must be going to do some really cool stuff in the movie and kick ass.
Instead he just sort of lumbers, sucks up sand, and really doesn't kick anything's butt. Then to top that off he commits the very worst sin of the movie franchise of getting killed by one shot by the humans.
Just seems like so much wasted potential. Instead of taking the interesting ideas and making him into something hard for the Autobots to stop he ends up being a bumbling comical character that I couldn't take seriously.
I liked his design. Very beastial, like as if he were the first combiner, and they didn't have it quite down pat, but the final result was more than enough.
The transformation was the best. They pretty much mash themselves together, and the way the head emerges was pretty fucking sweet.
