So to celebrate the movie today, and try to get as many folks to see it as I can, I brought a Transformers cake into my program, along with the official plates, napkins, tablecloth, and stickers. And I'm rocking my "Party Like It's 1984" shirt they gave out at the awards party.

Me giving the Nutrition teacher a sticker. She took it, but I think mostly 'cause she was uncomfortable.

Cake isn't big enough for everybody, but I lucked out--one of the other students had just felt like baking last night--that's the foil-wrapped dish. So there's plenty.

    Hmmmm.. me like cake.
I love icing too (yes it's "icing", "ICING" in this country!!). Even if I didn't want to see the movie, the cake would convince me.

Well, since it got bumped, a teacher and four students saw it over the 4th of July. And about ten more have plans to see it w/ their kids or boyfriends/girlfriends this weekend. So I feel like it contributed a little to an ass-kicking box office take.
I won't lie, I get that from some folks when I'm straight up about the hobby. But I did two tours overseas as a combat medic w/ the Army, and pointing that out usually shuts anyone giving me grief up pretty quickly. For real, if you ever want to establish unquestionable grown-up credentials, spend a little time in combat. It's totally worth it.

What's the deal with these cakes? I saw a thread that showed the new movie cake with the Optimus Prime flames. I went to Wal-Mart & looked in the book but all they had was an Energon cake. The one you got is the Energon cake. So what's the deal with the new movie cake???

Also, Wal-Mart here only got 2 out of the 3 movie posters. They got Autobots & Decepticons but didn't get the Optimus Prime poster. I thought they all came together in the same box. Why are only certain stores getting ALL the newest stuff while others are hit or miss?
