Hopefully this hasn't been posted before, I did search...

I found a black backpack with a grey Decepticon logo and "to punish and enslave..." on it at the Tri-County Mall Hot Topic in Cincinnati. The price was $30 so I didn't buy it. A couple pictures here if you want to mirror them.

Here it is on Hot Topic's website.

    EDIT: Mirrored.

Am I the only one that thinks that the phrase "to punish and enslave..." on kids backpack is a little wrong for kid to wear to school? Or even anyone for that fact. I think the phrase fits Barricade and the Decepticons appropriately and works for that in the movie, but putting it on kids merchandise seems just a little wrong. I'm all for everyones rights, but I just see this getting kids into a lot of trouble in school with how sensitive everyone is nowadays.

Dude, its freaking Hot Topic, its not specifically targeted at grade school kids anyway.
I've got the Barricade shirt with the phrase right there in bold print and nobody at my High School cares, they think its awesome =P

It's a shame that thing would never hold all my text books. I still have to get it though, it matches my track jacket...

I realize it's cool to act like a total bad*** nowadays, but I can see that phrase being offensive to someone. That's all. I'm glad you have had no problems. It just seems like you can't go a week without hearing of some ridiculous situation where someone was so easily offended by something that the rest of of think it's not a big deal. That's all I was getting at.

I agree with ya on that. It just struck me as odd that that phrase would be on a kiddy thing.

Sooooo, you guys DO know that there are other people besides first-graders that wear backpacks, right?

And if the slogans on the tshirts don't offend them, I'm sure theres a bunch of other stuff in HT that will.

    This is news?

I've had that backpack for a couple weeks now, got it for school.

Quality on it seems...good, hoping to not have problems with it.

The bag looks nice and has an honesed slogan. No more lies and fake modesty. To bad it doesn't transform. Is that like a sticker and a small text with the slogan. Most would not have time to read it anyway.

The offended and activism groups should be told that we would fell offended and oppressed if we couldn't use that bag. I could see strong girls and feminist groups (angry women) use that bag to warn of all men.
