    IGN: New Punch-Out!! Info Surfaces

A little bit of info from ign. The part where it says "NOE also confirmed that the title will boast 13 playable fighters -- roughly three more than the original." is confusing though. Ummm, there was only ONE playable character in the first two games. I hope it's not only 13 opponents. And I hope it includes Bald Bull, Mr. Sandman, Super MachoMan, Mr. Dream, and the Bruiser Brothers.

imagine being able to play as the other characters to try and get the WBAAH title.

so three new fighters: we saw one there (Disco Kid)

WOOT WOOT...old school controls...that just made this game a buyer now

I may have to get this. Haven't bought a Wii game in a while now.

yeah, totally can't wait for this.
IGN: Punch-Out!! Gets Balance Board Support
this looks interesting too. i'll probably play it with a sideways remote nes style, but i'd lvoe to try it using a wii fit pad. that would be pretty fun too, it would really put you into the experience a lot more than just the nunchuk/remote alone.

I've waited two generations for a new Punch-Out!! and I'm extremely excited. This is the game to finally put me over the edge and buy a Wii this year. The fact that you can play it with classic controls is icing on the cake.

things i want to see different.

    1) it was awesome then, the left, right, repeat on the Don...but this time, its not...

    2) King Hippo actually gets back up after a knockdown

something would be cool...online...either Mac vs Mac or you get to play as the other characters...you get your specials the same way if you were Mac...but i dont know how to incorporate that as its not a out of nowhere kinda hit...

considering they are adding multiplayer, I don't see online as much of a stretch. As for the opponents, I imagine that everyone will have new moves you have to learn to defeat them.

I knew there was reason that I bought a Wii, and this was definitely it.

I haven't felt compelled to buy a Wii game since I got my Xbox 360, but this looks like a winner and a must-buy. Even better is the news I heard about it being compatible with the Wii Fit balance board, and I have a Wii Fit.

I'll be the devil's advocate here and say that the other games were fun for their day, but if this one follows suit, it'll be too shallow by todays standards for me to drop $50 on it. Gonna have to wait and see if the new features will give the game some meat.

apparently bear hugger is in it and he eats raw fish. i find that amusing for certain personal reasons.

also, bald bull is now confirmed, although that's not a huge surprise to anyone.
