Anyone ever get involved in one of these? My family used to do these a few years ago until it got too competitive. Here are some of the pics from my pumpkin carving days:
My first year was in 2005 where anything went...I lost with brian the dog:

The next year was Disney, I won with Pirates of the Caribbean:

All on the same pumpkin mind you.

After that we had to make a pumpkin that reflected ourselves. So I took a picture of me playing the piano and carved that out. My wife's the one next to mine.

Anyone else do anything like this? I would love to see your pics...figured a bunch of us radicons must have tried their hand at this by now.

damn... I've only recently (read: the last 3 years) had a chance to carve a pumpkin - neither of my parents would let me anywhere near one, even after I had an art scholarship...

All the pumpkins I've carved just look more maniacal than the previous year - I'll try to post some pics later.

    Those are pretty unbelievable dude.

You should stack like five of those pumpkins on top of each other and carve out a combiner Moe! You would totally own that man.

Here's this years model - waited until the 30st to buy a pumpkin, (b/c I'm stupid & had a LOT of work making the two costumes...) and the only pumpkin left was a flat misshapen ugly thing...

I let it sit in the floor all day & finally decided a screaming head would be the only reasonable approach.

Sadly, these pics were taken Nov 4th, so the wilting has corrupted the face, which is why I took pics in several angles - hopefully, you'll get the idea...

Awesome pics wilting aside, the carving looks great. Looks like you really got into the spirit. Is Halloween your favorite holiday?

Yeah, but no one got my costume this year, so it was a total waste. The haunted house costume failed b/c I'd never tried to do a full-body costume before & I kinda made a bad 1st draft - but I'll make it so much better next year...
