Most of you remember Energon Swoop/Grimlock set... Well, here is a repaint to show you how incredible the toy can be. I only have put a modified an Energon Tow-Line head and a G1 toon style paint job. The box art shows Swoop with hands...Well guess what...He's got no hands :(  I took some gundam hands and fixed them on a piece of plastic that can fit inside his forearms. Missle launchers are from Classics Starscream and finally, sword is from G1 sludge. Since the dino mode sucks a bit, I have made up a 3rd mode...Have no idea what to call it* but it's somehow between robot and dino mode. I think it looks cool tho. Anyways, enjoy!
*BTW, the Savage Land mode! Yeah, reminds me of Marvel's Sauron

Thanks guys! I can only estimate about 9 hours or could be less...I have no idea.
I started this guy 2 weeks ago so I spend an hour on weekday evenings and about 5 hours on the weekend.

He needs some gold on the top of his feet to match the rest of the posse!

Pretty damn impressive work though sir.

I agree! On my "To Do" list !

I always use a primer before spray painting for better results.
I finish by spraying a clear.
And conclude with the paint apps done by brush

I'll admit, I don't much care for the other Classic Swoop attempts I've seen, but this one rocks! Can't wait to see Dino pics

edit: Why do you do brush paint apps after the clear coat?

    %$#@ing monumental.

Can't wait to see alt mode, makes Grimmy look a little half-hearted and plain.

Holy cow thanks guys! There is still love for the G1's!
The other pic I have is in my link in my sig. I had a thread for both Slag and Sludge but after awhile I delete the pics in my imageshack account to make room.

By experience, I've seen that small paint apps get "disolved" by the clear because it contains some acetone so I paint them after the clear.

*thinks intently about doing this to his*

    Can I ask questions?

    What colors did you use?

How did you modify the hips?

I get all my spray paints at walmart. They have an isle full of spray paints from their home brand to Krylon.
If you have the toy, you'll see how easy it is to remove the useless plastic that
unables the legs to bend upward. I just dremeled that out and gives more posability to the toy.
