Sorry, no longer selling casts. Buying a new house, moving out and will no longer cast. Will be back at kitbashing once I'm settled.
Thank you for being supportive, it's appreciated.

those are the random parts from around unicron's waist area - sorta like his jock strap. they've all disappeared ...so it's advisable to grab them from Ptitvite.

    testimonial:
I got (several) sets from him and they are top notch. good sheen on the resin and bubble free.

    Casting Unicron's junk! Dirty! :lol

Seriously though, these look really good. Don't know if I'll ever get around to doing a kickass Devistator like you guys, but if I do, I'll probably be coming to you for some parts.

I'm glad to see you continuing to expand your horizons, buddy! I hope to see you expand your catalog of parts you cast. Between you and Darkov, I hope we have a wealth of reproparts again! :thumb

I am curious about casting parts - I've seen the "how to cast a head" tut by WJ, is it the same process for hands or weapons or different technique?

I'd say it pretty much the same techique. The challenge is to figure out how to make the mold and where you will inject the liquid plastic to keep it's good looks and avoid air bubbles.
Some parts require just a simple 2 halves molding but I'm currently at a trial of articulated hands and so far, it will require 3 molds (6 halves) and pins.
To go a step further, I could try injection molding but that will come eventually...more costly. Sadly, the molds don't last for much than 12 casts unless I use mold release but then, paint may not stick to the plastic. But even without mold release when casting, I suggest cleaning the parts because I have to use mold release when making the actual molds and it stays there for quite some time.
I also would like to cast with clear plastic but as anemis told me, it is terribly toxic and takes 4 days to cure.

Yes casting clear (resin) takes a while to cure. But you can paint it fine if you clean it up real good, and prep/prime it. I've been using the Krylon Outdoor Camo Fusion style flat black for my primer, the one Frenzy_Rumble recommended in an older thread (using Motormaster as a model)
