    Boo...

I was hoping for more. At least a better re-design. A clamshell would have slimmed it down greatly. I'm gonna pass.

Pass for me, I might attempt to get that Star Wars bundle but I'll probably just buy a replacement faceplate for my semi busted one.

What the hell? How do you redesign the PSP and NOT fix the awful D-pad and crippling single analog nub? I suppose I can sort of understand the lack of a second nub (vital though it may be) since this is an evolution and not an entirely new product, but the apparently unchanged D-pad is totally inexcusable to me.

I'm curious about one thing though. They're jamming a LOT of stuff into those two Entertainment packs...I wonder if they chose not to announce immediately that the base unit is going to drop again to $150? It doesn't really make sense to keep it at $170 versus the other two packs, and at $150 the PSP starts becoming a VERY compelling mass market option versus the DS.

The main design problem for me was the actual length of the PSP. With this "redesign" you still can't put it in your pocket.

I never held my psp and thought "Oh my god this thing is so heavy, my puny arms can't keep holding on!"

    What a waste of potential.

So they are packaging it with Star Wars Battlegrounds -a game that is very hard to play without a second anaolg stick.
    Go figure.

The DS has been the number one seller since it came out.
    Every single month.

The thing practically prints money for Nintendo.

The output to televisions thing is pretty awesome, makes it much cooler as a "device", not so much as a console thanks the the same cruddy control scheme :3

Sony seemingly pointlessly redesigning one of their systems? No way. I don't believe it, and neither do the various PSOne models, two PS2 models and rumored 2nd redesign of the PS2.

    Pfft...what?

I'm not amused. In fact, that looks EXACTLY like the original PSP. I'm glad I switched back to DS.

    PASS.

Perhaps the new PSP will come with an adaptor so one can use one of its new features without needing to buy a PS3.

    Oh wait PS1 downloads.

How the hell did they manage to gaff up a PSP redesign and re-rollout??!!

No gold stars and many red pen corrections for this one. :(

I can't believe they still won't let you download games without a PS3, it's an easy way to make money.

WTF!!!!! That's a redesign? First, most(last time I checked) PS3 games are shared on another console, now they can't think of a new design? Sony's running out of ideas...

Ya know, I've been satisfied with my DS for a while now, but I was always after an excuse to get a PSP, for Sony to throw us a bone and make a great reason to get the handheld.

    ...this ain't it...

Maybe the price of the original will go down at least, I might get that. Handhelds that are too small or light bug me anyway, that's why I went with the original DS over the Lite.
