Ok, so I just got a $30 Best Buy gift card from my cousin and, seeing as I have a hospital stay coming up, I decided to use it to buy a PSP game. However, I basically don't know a thing about the PSP's game selection.

So, my question is: What's the best PSP game $30 can buy? Thanks in advance!

I agree with God of War. One of the greatest action titles on the PSP.
Not sure if these are still available in stores and how much they go fore, but these are also great games:

    M.A.C.H.
    Any of the Burnout games
    Any of the GTA games
    Killzone Liberation
    Loco Roco series
    Lumines series
    Patapon series
    Wipeout series

On the Ps store you could get

    Resident Evil 1
    Resident Evil 2
    Resident Evil 3
    Dino Crisis
    Silent Hill
    Final Fantasy VII
    Metal Gear Solid

The games run about 5.99 to 9.99 a piece.

It would be more bang for your buck

I also recommend Metal Gear portible ops.
    God of War
    Silent Hill Origins

For Longevity, I would recommend one of the Final Fantasy games depending of what style of gameplay you like. I personnally sunk about 80 hours into Crisis Core getting to level 100, max stats, and completing all the extra missions. But there are many others that have come out like Final Fantasy tactics: War of the Lions, Dissidia, I & II.

Also, Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles you can't go wrong with because it has two games in it (Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night.) However, Rondo of Blood is not an easy game and if you are going to be in the hospital, you may not want a game that can frustrate you a lot. Plus you need to unlock SotC in Rondo of blood which can be...complicated.

I will also agree with Metal Gear games and Patapon games. I'm sure you'll find something you'll like though.

Final Fantasy Dissidia, if you don't already have it, is a nice long fighter with plenty to keep you going.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I ended up going with Maverick Hunter X. I figured since I'm such a big fan of the classic series, it was high time I try X out.

However, this thread gave me some great ideas on what to buy after the holidays :D  !

Hammerin Hero is a lot of fun. Plus Valkyrie Profile is a classic.
