So the PSAT is coming next Saturday and I am actually kind of excited also I was wondering what your PSAT, SAT or even ACT was like. And any tips, comments, or even if you want to share your score would also be cool.

I just realized I spelled coming wrong... awkward. And can a mod fix it.

    Here are some tips . . .

Take it seriously because those tests suck ass.

Don't take it hungover like I did . . . it becomes harder.

    When in doubt . . . Pick "C"

And for the record, I think I scored a 23 on my ACT (I think that's the right scoring for the ACT), and I was hungover. Go get 'em man!

    Na, I'm serious.

Here's another one, if you absolutely have to guess the answer with the most information is the right answer the majority of the time.

    Good luck.

ACT was cake. If you get a study guide for it and see how the questions are formatted, you'll figure it out. And practice for the timed essay portion (my weakest spot). I got a 32 or 33, no sweat. Knew a guy that got a 35.

But the SAT Subject Tests... gave me murderous thoughts. I took the Lit, Chem, and Math; word of advice, avoid the Lit at all costs unless you know its your strong point. In fact, take only subjects you know you'll ace. On these tests, never guess on a question you have no idea about, you will get negative points; but if you can knock it down to two answers and can give a good guess, then go for it.

I generally hate these standardized tests, but... you gotta do what you gotta do, I suppose.

First off, those tests are a scam and complete crap. It is embarrassing that colleges still use these things.

The general SAT is not too bad, but the subject tests are pretty awful. I would say the hardest thing for me was the essay writing portion as I did not practice for the SAT at all. IMO, the most important thing you can do is to just stay calm and do what you can.

Try? Do or do not, there is no try.
Well yeah, I knew that because AP test are the same way.
I'm hearing that alot plus NY gets the highest average scores for that so this should not be that hard.
    Anything really.
