My buddy in Denmark has a PS3, but he is having a hard time finding some of the games that are already available because a lot of the stores down there don't carry them.

Do you guys know if the PS3 is region protected. Or is it like the PSP that can play games from any country?

If not, do you guys know of any reliable mail order company that sells PS3 games?

I belive its the same system that the 360 uses, which is game by game at the developer's/publisher's discretion.

Used them before for a few things. Got my DS3 for less than $50 shipped and had it within 3 days from Hong Kong. They list if a game has region locks or not.

As far as I know it is like the PSP. With the games being region free, DVDs and blurays are regioned.

Most Blu-Rays have no region coding (it's said to be at or less than 30%). That is how I (in the USA) and enjoying the 1986 Transformers Movie (from the UK) on a shiny Blu-Rays disc.

Coo, thanks guys. Basically, he wanted to buy some games here (he is obsessed with Eye of Juedgement) but didn't know if they would work on his European PS3 when he returned to Denmark.

Joe you never gave us a review on that. But it seems like it ended up working for you. Guess who's ordering that movie next paycheck? Come on, just guess.
