So I was just able to get a PS3 for free from my bro. I've been playing PS1 and PS2 games a hell of a long time, and I want to know if there's a way to transfer the PS2 memory card data into the PS3. Is there a way to do this, or am I going to have to play all the games again on PS3? I haven't had time to really examine the booklet, since it just arrived to me today...

Thanks, so I have to spend about $20 to save my games to the PS3? Wow.

Might as well just play them again.

You can find it used at a much cheaper price. Gamestop and Best Buy has them new for $15, I imagine they would be about $10 for a used one. Not a bad price.

I dunno if it's worth it. I mean I would just upload all the games...and that's it. All the new games I get I can just save into the PS3...so that means I would use it once then throw it out...right?

Or sell it or trade it in. It's what I did for mine. Bought it used (it was $12 at the time), and then traded it in the next day.

But it's all about what it's worth to you. If it's not for you, then it's not for you. the only reason I really wanted it was for my Tekken 5 and NFL2k5 saves.

I guess it depends if $10 seems like to much to move your saves onto the HDD. It was for me, and like others have said, trade it back for credit when your done. It's not like the PS3 cost you anything. :)

You can transfer back and forth between PS3 and a Memory card if you ever want to take a save back to a PS2.

I'm glad I kept mine after I transfered my saves, because my PS3 bricked and I had to do to all over again!
