On a side note I hope the comunity that hacked the hell out of the original Xbox attack this monstrosity even harder, if for nothing else to stick it to the idiots that made decisions like this.

The PS2 is the current console that have the greatest amount of defect. ( Most people i know that have a PS2 are on their 2nd or 3rd PS2). So what happen if you get a defect PS3?? You need to buy all your games again?

 

Further proof that Sony Wants to lose the next Gen. of gaming.

The good thing? Hopefully alot of people will just let this thing (Ps3) sit on the shelves and collect dust.

Those people were making predictions based on the assumption that Sony wanted to actually sell their systems and games and turn a profit. Who could predict that the people in charge at Sony had gone apeshit crazy and not one of their minions had the balls to say anything about it.

 

They've already shot themselves in the foot a couple of times. Now they're crushing a cyanide capsule into the wound.

And yeah, I think that hackers and pirates will have more incentive than ever to hack this, as many gamers won't have a choice but to turn to piracy and bootlegs to get games from the PS3's back-catalog... assuming the PS3 lives long enough to have a back catalog of games.

 

I was going to get a PS3 but this put a VERY LARGE NAIL in the coffin.

Wii and 360 are now my prioritys.

 

I'm no Sony fan, but this is still nothing mor ethan a rumor, right?

 

The funny thing is that, even if it turns out to be false, Sony has created an image of itself that makes this sort of thing completely easy to believe.

 

Ah well. I guess I'll just wait until the system is way down in price and someone finds a way to make it play bootleg games.

Bye bye Sony! If I had a stable of good games to play on my PSP I might actually care that you're going out the door.

And fuck the PS3, if Im spending too much money to play games with good graphics, Im building a DirextX 10 PC to play Crysis.

If this prevents renting, They should provide content to rent through their online service.

Either way, this is another bad sign. They are so afraid of piracy, they are willing to alienate their whole fan base to stamp it out.

Hey, we're bitching about the PS3 in here, we better stop while we're ahead.  

 

Dude this makes the n64 look like a master peace of business planning, this make the edsel look good and the C5, good god even action masters had there good points but this… I love my PS2 but sony have totally lost there minds now.

 

Ok, so since you dont actually "own" the game, you must be "renting" it, therefore it should cost no more that, what, $5.  

 

Sure, but they'll charge you a few years worth of $5 all up front.
