The thing is mother fucking horrible and possibly the most useless piece of equipment known to man. I HAVE Synced it. Tested it about a thousand times and can gladly here back my own voice. I can hear others. Yet they can never, fucking ever hear me. Its manual consists of holding its power buton down either 5, 7, or 9 seconds for it to do something. So unless you have a stop watch you can end up doing anything and not what you want. Its fucking horrible. No matter the game, no matter if its just a simple chat on the main menu it fails to fucking work except when I test it.
If you're in a game, you can press the middle button, go to accesories and your headset and test it while the game is still going. If you can hear yourself, then it's working. Sometimes, when I turn mine on, I go to test it anyway, but I have accidently pressed the mute button and forgot to umute. If you're headset is the same as mine, when you are in mute, the headset beeps from time to time to let you know you're muted. edit: Also, it's more like 3 seconds, and the headset does make a noise to indicate that it's on, not to mention the light blinks every couple of seconds to let you know that it's on, so it's not a blind faith move turning it on
Such a hater, heh. I can't see how you guys have so many issues with something that others have never had issues with. The headset has not once failed me, and I have always understood what my friends are saying on the other side. But the fact that it doesn't come with one like the 360 does mean that any low grade headset could make its way into a game, and then you get that nasty static and echo from someone else, so I can definitely see that being an issue. I tried the Motorola, but I couldn't hear people as clearly. The PS one plugs into your ear and cancels out other noises including your own feedback, so that also helps.
Does any bluetooth headset works on PS3? Cuz I got one already and don't feel like paying for an official PS3 one.
Most of them do. Like Ace said, the 20 dollar ones work too, and they aren't bad, but the PS3 one seems to be the better way to go, but certainly not the only.
tell me about it. Finally got it sorted, just glad MetalRyde is a patient fellow. I swear i was this .... close to throwing out of my window.
I think the best part of all of this is Metalryde sitting their patiently, probably wanting to kill someone, lol.
