But sometimes, bigger ISN'T better.
I was going to say "at least they did something right" when I saw how the box looked. Then I saw how huge it was, and had to recant my thought.
The box size is what accounts for $150 of the suggested $600 retail price, by the look of the thing.
it's ok, a tad dull.
i really, really hate that Spider-man font the used for the logo, it was cliche by the time Spidey2 came out...
i'd say the Wii (especially) and the 360 packages are nicer designs.
thats a big ditto from me
was always annoyed they used that font
that's the $600 one (where its gets the chrome threatment)
i wonder what the $500 looks like (all black, no chrome)
Not a huge fan of the font choice either as I would have preferred something along the lines of the one used on the PS2. But overall it doesnt look too bad and I'm a big fan of the mostly all black box.
Its hard to tell from this perspetive how big the box is but it doesnt seem any bigger than the original xbox packaging, and looks pretty similar to the 360's.
In the end its just nice to see packages that dont have the girth that the nes/snes/n64 had.
Simple works for this IMO
It's a powerful machine and they probably dont want the machine to be confused with a toy with colorful and disorienting packaging
Huge...the Wii box looks so much better.
