What is your opinion on these prototypes, Delphan Rane/Anyone who has been viewing? ==== I did get an email from the seller with a link to their folder containing the images of Ramjet/Starscream/Fortress Maximus/Sixshot a bit before the auctions were started on Monday, I have to say that seeing FM Prototype [or close to Prototype as it was] was an interesting site to say the least. If it is true which hopefully it is, this gives support that G2 Menasor is still usable and probably it is since the Club mentioned it at their panel (they wouldn't say it if the mold wasn't usable) and I still give my support to it as a Club Exclusive (of course, within reason). can someone fill me in on what was so special about the astrotrain proto? i've never heard anything about that before.
It was pictured in the G1 Hasbro catalog with show accurate color, full gray & purple; rather than the actual release which was white, purple & black.
Unicron sold at Botcon 2001 for just over 10k USD Some other G1 hardcopies and resin mockups have passed the 10K mark (usually for sets, not individual figures) The Unicron and Astrotrain are owned by different people but both members of this board (Not me!) Hitch

Not to go off topic but since alot of you know about prototypes, does anyone know where I can find a BW DInobot prototype??? Ive been looking for one for sometime and been asking around but have had no luck. I really want the all black one with white and clear parts in robot mode. that son of a bitch cancelled the auction for the fort max....his ram jet did not get a bid at all...the fort max was at $204 and change when it ended...and i was in the winning lead....DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!! i think he bailed on it since it was not soaring with all the bids like he was expecting.....
I dont understand why a lister can cancel an auction... never did.... Ok, i can see having 24 hours from the time of listing to catch any errors or anything but after that too bad if you dont get bids... And i dont want to hear about private selling of the item... Arnt you making a contract when you place it on ebay. Its such BS.
He told me "something unexpected came up" I asked for clarification. Either someone made a huge offer, or Hasbro shut down the auctions. Hopefully he'll clarify. This happened to me with the LD Protoform Starscream too.. with these rare items, you have to be coy and QUICK!!!! No one wants to wait for the auction to end and potentially lose a rare item if they are willing to throw down from the get go.
Still, if the Fort MAx proto was a result of them inspecting the mold for possible future release, I hope a G1 Scorponok Proto shows up soon. If I can just get Fort Max and Scorpy officially reissued in the encore line, I will be a happy camper!
it is still BS...he listed it and it should have sold for what ever the winning bid was..... unexpected my ass...he was not getting bidwise what he wanted....pure and simple...freaking sheister seller.......
