This is a commissioned figure for a fellow Transformer Enthusiast. This figure goes along with a recent DOTM Shockwave I did as well. Basically, the customer just wanted a realistic Proto Prime so I fully black gloss coated the whole figure, then added multiple layers of metal tone colors, some gold and very light bronze details, a couple edge highlights, and then finishing washes.

I really like it, it almost feels like Ultramagnus though.

Thanks! That may be because he looks a little white in the pics. In person though, he is really silvery and much more metallic (no white at all actually).

This paint job seriously makes me wish Hasbro would just re-release these things. :p  I'd like a protoform army.

    It's very nice.

Thanks! New pics and video link in 1st post. Changed the background to white and snapped shots with filtered daylight bulbs, which makes the colors more accurate to 'in person'.

I was looking at the first couple pics and thought,"some pretty cool metal tones" then when you have the overhead light this thing went BOOM! Really metal detail in here, Highlght really shine and the midtone really form in there great. Really like this man

Really great stuff. I love the yellows and the very subtle use of blue for the eyes.

Looks very nice indeed. I was commissioned a while back to make a "G1" Protoform Prime. It's a great figure to paint up!
