Yeah, so my first build was great and all, but it netted like 20 replies or so throughout it's 9 month duration, from at least 500 views. So obviously, there must be something wrong with it. Very wrong with it. So, this is my chance to redeem myself. I'm starting again from scratch, and this time hoping to God that it doesn't encounter as many hiccups as the last one. For those who aren't familiar with the build, it's a mix and match of my want to build a team of soldiers for the Fallen (the black flame-y guy, not Bay's overgrown roach), and my liking of Yugioh's Machina cards, specifically Machina Force. This will serve as the thread for the whole project, as each team member comes along, and then hopefully, the gestalt. The idea is that this time the build will involve zero ball joints, because last time that got me into a whole heap of trouble. Hence, that Galaxy Force Metroplex there is probably going to be executed soon. The only thing that willl be carried over from V1 is Covington himself. No need to replace a perfectly good spartan. First bot to be created: Fallen's Soldier. Last time, i made this guy from a spare Animated Lockdown. God awful idea that was, way too big and way too heavy. So this time, i turned to something small and lightweight: the Loto. Added a splash of hot glue and some black paint to this bad boy, and he's ready to roll. Oh, and the sword i stole off an Exia Gundam kit. There's still some debate on exactly how much green should be left unpainted (the original Machina Soldier was green as well), though this is probably 90% completed. Combiner joint is already figured out (the part that connects this to the Action Base is great as a connection point), and does not affect articulation at all. Current plan is to paint the right should and head, while leaving the torso green.
