I say this because I downloaded it, and it looks incredible.

And I'm in the top 7% on the online leader board on the first race (street race in Macau).

Oh I can see myself losing a lot of time later on this year...

 

Game released last week, and its the best in the series. It has cut into my Halo 3 time by alot, meaning more PGR4.

 

Yeah, I've only been able to sample the Demo...   Which seems to have its own leaderboards, seperate from the main game.

Seeing as the US already have it, can you import your cars from PGR3? Cuz, well, I want my Lamborgini Murcielago R-GT straight away.

 

No car importing as the way to get cars has changed. You no Longer just buy 1 car at a time(except 1 car). You buy them in groups, like High End Ferraris are one group, another is Lambos. Its also how you unlock other tracks for online.

 

The game is region free BTW - so if you're in one of the territories where games cost more, it's possible to import it.

Going rate on eBAy is about 1/2 the European price.

The "insane" rating for the Muira concept is a bit of an exaggeration i thought.

 

SWEET New toys to play tonight!

 

Well, I picked up the full version, and without high powered cars to play with I feel very... underwhelmed.

When I discovered time attack, which has access to all the cars... and I was happy again. And online leader boards? Hell yeah.

I'm in the 31% area (or was it 36%) on the first London track in the sun, and I KNOW I can shave off maybe a whole second off. I intend to be the fastest Muricelago R-GT on that Leaderboard if it kills me (or far more likely, my 360.)

But yes, I need to save up for that 140000 kudos Lambo pack. Then go online with the R-GT. I must.

I can see me having lots of fun with this photo feature... and mayhap an appearance in Cool Stuff too...

I'm actually thrilled and dissappointed with this. The graphical overhauls are lush, but the comparative lack of new vehicles seems a bit of a gip. Overall, I think its better than PGR3, but the main question is, if you already have PGR3, do you need this?

Having said that, if you remember I said I could shave off a second off my time on the London time attack with the Murcielago? I shaved off .98 seconds!.

Top 29%. Now I need to try and shave that down to 25%...

 

How is the wheel with the game?

 

Does this one have the garage mode?

Been playing Forza 2 , but no garage mode (just menus). Loved PG 2 & 3, must get this one. Deciding between this and Orange box

 

WTF is a Garage Mode?

 

I've been spending a lot of time with Forza 2 in the last few days.

 

Yeah, theres a garage where you have slots which you can fill with cars you have unlocked.

As you progress through the career mode and go up in rank, you get access to new garages and new slots. Its not like PGR3 though, you don't need to fill the open slots to open new garages, and you don't even need to go into your garages at all. Before every race you get menus that show you what cars are eligible and what cars you have access to, so garage mode is basically just fanwank. Which is a good idea, because the load times for garages in PGR3 were obtrusive.

Having said that, I'm going to fill up my garages with my favourite cars, walk around them, and you know. Wank.

I need to play this some more. But Halo is severely curtailing other game time. And Mass Effect, VF5, Lego Star Wars: TCS and Street Fighter HD are really gonna eat up my 360 time when they're released.

I need a time machine.

Suddenly the opposition melt away into the distance... Fastest lap you say? Well thank you, its the car really.

 

Switched out the Gallardo there with a Diablo or Countach, easily makes that picture 10x better. Even the Muira would.

 

Heh, I only put them in there like that because they're A, B and C class. But yes, the Gallardo is definitely one of the weaker Lambo's, the Diablo (despite its weight) is very good for its class.

 

I haven't opened my copy of PGR4 but I couldn't play PGR3 with the controller. The Wheel just gave a bit more finesse and control that I couldnt get used to with the controller. I'm sure it hasn't change much. Forza 2 was the opposite for me even though the wheel was supposedley built to its specifications.

 

PGR your cracking the wheel alot for the big powerslides, and Forza if your using a wheel is more about minor changes to keep a line for your speed.
