Leg MOD (update 2) updated to the first post.

a question for those who are reading this. I was going to work on LED work next. However, it will most definately make the figure less playable and turn it in to a "display" figure (although it will transform, but it will become more fragile). What are general thoughts on thisfrom ya'll?

    a. Leave it and move on to the painting.
    b. Go all the way, LED and all, who cares if it becomes fragile?

    Thanks

    Zebu

I think something needs to be done with the rear fender pieces that are on his feet still... not sure what, but I know I don't like them there.. looks funny..

Awesome! Could you pls send me detatil shots of the kneemods?

And I would start painting, cause I want playable figures, but you must decide for your own. Till it's fully transformable and posable all is good, but too much modding could destroy most you created!

Detail photos of leg mod updated on the original post.

I am leaning towards painting without LED because I do want transformers that could tansform. Then again, I want it to be something that my potential customers would want if I sell this figure...........I don't know... I gues I'll just go start cutting SH!T until I figure it out he he.

I've put the link on the post. I don't know if it will scale well with ultimate optimus prime as I don't have that figure yet.

I would sugest just painting it AND adding LEDs just to his guns, I´m not an expert on the subject, but that might be easier I guess, and maybe, the guns could be bigger, and if they don't fit any more, don't worry! mount them on vehicle mode as weapons and say it's "Mech Tech" :p

Actually I don't think he ever had large ape hands at all, as the pics below show.
The thing that makes the leader figure not quite look accurate is the fact that in the movies Ironhide has shorter legs, a much bigger head, and a much shorter waist section. He has a big ape look for those reasons, not because of huge hands.
With a shorter waist and bigger head, the hands would help bring him into better accuracy. Without those changes though, I'm not sure this mod does that.
That said, I do think these hands look good on him, and I think they are an improvement either way.

sorry for break the conversation, but ironhide is based on a Bull, not on a ape or bear (Ratchet based on a bear, bee on a.... yeah... bumblebee... sideswipe on winnie the pooh *lol*)
