Actually this is a mix of a finished and a WIP, I finished this just today, but I also will post my progress so here goes :)

    Project Acidstorm to Thundercracker conversion...

It's quite hard not to mention quite expensive to obtain either incarnation of the classics/universe thundercracker nowadays so I decided to offer custom jobs to turn the peg warmer Acidstorm into Thundercracker, This is a commision work for Flash03 of Pinoy Toy Kolektors...

Here's some more pics of the Thundercracker custom. Just waiting for the decals and sealing, and he's all set... :)

Here's my finished thundercracker, decaled and ready for delivery! (Pardon the pics, Phone cam used)

    Robot Mode
    Fighter Mode

    Comments are welcome! :D

I like the blue, but how about just a LITTLE darker hue.

I went more with how cracker looked in the cartoons versions :)  but yeah I checked henkei and it was a bit darker, maybe a little coat of clear blue would fix it... TFL!

Thanks brrrr-icy, by the way aside from the con marks, the stripes on the wings and tail fins are also decals from a custom set I made :)

Very nice work, Amuro! I have one of these to do Thundercracker also (well, actually 5 of these MISB--1 for Thundercracker, and 4 for Aerialbots re-shells with some model kits I've had ready to go for a while). I really like the shade of blue used here--I was always more of a fan of the 'toon look of most of these bots, so the colors fit beautifully. I really dig your work so far, man--glad to see you sharing it up with all of us! (and another thing I like are the nice WIP shots leading up to finished project).

Looking forward to seeing more of your work, bro.

I've been wanting to do this for a while now, but never got around to it. Yours looks great! The wing decals are nice.... You made them? I might have to hit you up for some if you plan on making more. Sweet custom!

very nice work :thumb  You just encouraged me to get an Acid Storm and convert him to Thundercracker rather than get an original Henkei Thundercracker and spend a butt load of money on a figure that comes with some handicaps :D

I would be correct to assume that, other than the insignia, the white and red lines are stickers right? Or did you hand paint them in?

@Thundercracker: Go for it bro! actually there are some problem points in converting him, mainly the rubbery plastics that they used on his thighs, arm joints and winng connectors. you have to sand them well and use a good primer, before painting so paint won't chip off easily from that area. and yes bro, actually they are water slide decals, and they pretty much look painted on after you seal it with a final coat of a clear gloss paint :)

@hXcpunk23: Thanks! I'm a fan of your work bro! especially your Jazz conversion, looks great! yeah i prefer the cartoon colors more, and I think it gives more contrast when you display dirge and thundercracker side by side rather than using a darker shade of blue.

@(H)i(GH)con: thanks bro! it's really not that hard, just a bit of patience and resolve is needed :D  yep the decals on the wings tailfin and con logos were all custom made by me, I do have some more extras here though :D

    Thanks for dropping by!

I think you'd just need to right click on each image and click "copy image location", then post it up with the image tags around it. Haven't actually tried that, but it should work and still link to the image, just like it does on the thumbnail.
