Has anyone else come across an excess of defective figures with this line? I don't think I'veever had this high of a defect rate with any toys ever.

So far, I've had to exchange my Megatron due to a floppy arm, my FE Arcee's arm doesn't sit on the balljoint right and falls off at the slightest touch, and I've had to exchange a wheeljack due to an improper joint molding as well.

I've also heard stories about RID arcee coming with two left hands, and ratchet coming with two right thighs.

So what's up with this? Are the production values really low for this line? Do I just have terrible luck? Has anyone else come across defective figures, and if so, how were they broken/how did you solve it?

Yaw, dood. My powerizer prime has too many wide gaps that the plastic just doesn't wanna sit together in his alt mode. I'm transforming him right, just doesn't want to stay together like my friend's.

Unfortunately my Starscream came with only 1 knee spur. Since someone in Canada hooked me up, it's not like I could just exchange it. I emailed Hasbro about it but they wanted me to send them the whole thing for a replacement. They consider all deluxes to be interchangeable in value. Screw that.

I've got a bunch of these guys & haven't had any issues. Well, the Bulkhead I had somehow had a little chunk of its arm missing, but other than that I've been lucky.

Tonnes of other people haven't had as much luck however (and I've seen tonnes of messed up figures in stores & simply chose to pick a different bubble), so yeah. I've also never cared enough to look into Hasbro's production reports or whatever (assuming I'd even be able to find this info), so who knows. As far as tolerances, none of the FE Primes I've had were fully in spec, my Cliffjumper's pretty much average, but my Starscream, Megatron & Arcee are great.

Fakebusker has replacements for all of Starscreams' rubber parts. Check out his Shapeways store

As for me, my PRID Arcees' head crest was broken out of the box, but that was easily fixed.

None of my Prime toys have flaws.

...Except for all the bot shots toys. they have the most sensitive hair trigger transformation I've ever seen.

I've got a FE Voyager Prime missing a right eyeball, the whole thing is just gone. I'd love to get a cast of the lightpiping but seems no one can or will. Hell, if I had an impression of it to the base I could make due with a hot glue "ghetto cast" and clear blue paint over it. I've seen many more of the line in-store with all kinds of screw ups (major) though. QC has taken a nosedive lately it seems.

The only problem I have had is with First Edition Bumblebee. They put his arms on backwards and gave him two right hands.

Lucky it was a mass produced FE. I emailed tfsource about Arcee, and all they could offer was a partial refund, which I sort of felt bad taking, cause it wasn't their fault it was defective.

I haven't had any problem so far really....only "problem" persay is that Megs arm joint isn't strong enough for his cannon. Though, that thing is heavy.

My FE Prime did not have a left headlight. It's not like maybe it was a looses piece and fell off in the box; the headlights are attached with a screw. So apparently someone missed that step in the process.

every fig i got had probs...v.megs/bb/v.prime/c.j/ and rachet joints are hella loose..only decent figs that i have are s.wave and w.jack and even with these figs, plastic quality(on all of them) seem for $#!+ w/ loose joints.. PRIME toys are by far my most hated toys of any generation:thumbdown

Yeah, Saturday I bought the only Prime/RiD Deluxe Arcee that I was able to find at my local Wal-Mart... got home, and she's missing one of her shins:

Boy did that piss me off.

Other than that, I've been fortunate with my Prime toys.

My RiD Arcee did come with two left hands, but that's nothing my buddy's bag of Gundam hands can't fix. Also, the RiD Cliffjumper I'm working on, suffered a broken knee joint. It just cracked and came apart.
