Hello, I was just going through the KO thread here and ran into a problem.
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...191817-knock-off-transformers-thread-372.html

It seems that on page 372 there is a link for 373 so you can continue with the thread. I've been clicking on the number 373 locate don the top and it keeps sending me back to the same 372 page. What's going on here?
Is there a problem or is there really no page 373 yet? If so, why is it marked as having one?

It happens at times with large threads, the indexing of pages gets read wrong in the database. You are not missing any posts, if you click last page from the thread listing, you are on the real last page.

    So it's anticipating another page?

Its reading the total amount of posts, dividing it by the number of posts per page you have, and coming up with a number. In this case, 373. Due to the thread being so large, and the need to finish that process and move onto another forum request, it is basically doing division wrong.

But that doesn't change the amount of posts in the thread, or the fact that hitting "go to last page" actually takes you to the last page.

That seems funny that a computer system would do the division wrong. Anyway, thanks for the explanation. Cheers!

It's not doing it wrong, it's timing out before it can complete the process. There are deleted posts that it needs to calculate and it is not completing that part.
