I have a problem with my Leader Megs. His electronics were working fine a few days ago and I just noticed today that the batteries were dead. When I changed them his lights won't turn off and he doesn't make any sounds. If he does make a sound it's without activation and it is just a constant static noise. Are the electronics fried? Anyway I can fix this by tearing it apart?

Can I assume you've already tried:?

    - taking out the batteries and putting them back.

    - making sure the batteries are in the correct orienation.

    - trying a different set of batteries.

My electronics stopped working periodically, then worked, then didn't. Not sure what it was but it may be temporary.

I have a problem with my Leader Class Megatron - someone's put what is a clearly an upscaled Scout Class toy expanded to the size of a leader class in the box. I think it may have been Hasbro that did it.

Great, any problem with the electronics? Have you changed the batteries? Is it damaged?

Thanks for not helping at all. Are there any other leader Megatrons at any stores near you, because you might just want to swap for another

Your snark will certainly go unappreciated in this thread, but for what it's worth, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the thread title. :ev:

Knowing the bit about electronics that I do, it sounds like they might be fried. I've seen some similar effects from immersion or even high humidity. He didn't take a dive into the tub or anything, did he?

Shock! Horror! Hasbro create a toy line aimed at younger fans, and they even make the toys more simple too.

Clearly, they should've taken MP Megatron as a design cue. Personally, i love the idea of dozens of 5 year olds giving up on Transformers becasue the toy is too complicated, then returning the toy in question to shops, and changing it for something from Ben 10 instead.

Have to report the same problem, but also the same fix. I didm`t touch mine for 6 month and it just seems to have sorted itself out.

Only proper suggestions is either a) Get an electronics whiz to have a look, b) Get a junker and swap the voice box or c) get a new one

Hope you get it sorted I love that mold, despite it being basic.

:tumbleweed:  Nothing to do with the topic at all.

I would try to wait a while and see if it clears up.

Then I have to say either deal with it, or try and fix it internally.

Also this one happened to one of my toys once and I just repeatedly pushed the button and eventually it worked fine.

Nope no contact with water, though I do live in a place with high humidity. It's wierd though, since I purchased Leader Bulkhead and Supreme Optimus all from the same seller (Amazon) along with Megatron. The other two are still fine, and I was always playing with them to make sure no battery leakage would ocur.

Yeah I like him a lot too. Simple transformation buthe has good articulation, alternate mode, and the robot sculpt just oozes character.

Nope. If I pop in two brand new batteries he'll continously do the static noise and will not activate the LEDs. If I mix batteries (one old, one new) the noise isn't there but then the LEDs won't turn off
