We've known about this technology for a while, but for the first time it's available to the masses: Technology Review: 3-D Printing for the Masses So how feasible would it be for fans to design a transformer which could then be distributed to fans who wanted it as design blueprints to send in to this company? What would we design? How would paint aps, etc... be transmitted? Discuss.
CyberFembots - You know you want one. Look down the page for "Ferrum Carbo Master". If I'm not mistaken the design and prototypes were made using 3-D printing from someone who posts on the board. Here are the threads about it: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-customs-kitbashes/124792-new-wip.html http://www.tfw2005.com/radicons-cus...on-10/return-of-hearts-of-steel-prime-164531/
Feasible, but still difficult. Someone needs extensive skills 3-D modeling to design and engineer before having it prototyped.
Someone with the skill and time should make the Movie accurate toys we've wanted as well as a decent sized Lugnut
