Do you prefer your Optimus Prime to carry an axe or a sword?
I believe the sword toys heavily outnumber the axes, but the axe is traditional.
    Opinions?

Axe, unless it's G2 Optimus. He gets to keep his sword.

I tend to hate the sword because its overexposed as this symbol of heroism. Prime's a warrior. And historically, axes cause more damage than swords.

I like an axe better, but I'm not complaining either way.

Why not both? he could cause some serious damage that way!

I was never a fan of the pop out axe from the g1 cartoon, and I think it looks silly on Masterpiece Prime. But the axe from WFC is friggin epic. its a shame that the WFC prime figure didn't come with that axe. I'm going to have to try and hunt down that third party axe release.

If he's beefy (TFA, WFC, unicron trilogy, maybe prime.) An axe and guns. (the bulkier the bot, the bigger the axe.)

If he's lankier (movie, g1, g2, Beasties, maybe prime) a sword or two.

Generations [WfC] Prime can have a lot of fun with the help of PCC Smolder:

My PCC Smolder is long gone, but his lil' buddy stuck around with my Gen-WfC Prime :)

I'm gonna go with the claws from ROTF. :p

Nah, dual swords are more kick ass though, sorry.

    Swords, easy.

I don't know if I understand you're point here. Are you saying that, statistically, more damage has been done with axes over time than swords?

There're reasons why swords are a troope for being a symbol of heroism.

Generally I don't like Axes at all. But I like the one from WFC. But still I prefer swords.

Love both but WfC Optimus looked so badass with an axe.
