rumors out there claim Optimus Prime will die, now to me this is very bad for fans since Jazz got torn into two, Bumblebee blew up but survived mostly as a torso. What does this mean? Will jetfire and Primes combination bring back prime from death, or will prime die permanently, I don't wan't death to a leader of hope in the plot. I am crossing my fingers Bay won't let this happen.
I think he will. And I want Optimus to go out in a blaze of glory fighting to the death. And if he does die, there won't be a dry eye in the place. Prime's my hero, so nobody wants to be around me in the theater if Prime dies in this movie, cause I'll be inconsolable.

This wont happen , I doubt prime will even die till maybe half way through the 3rd film if at all. Remember this is kinda in its own universe.
Unless Movie Rodimus Prime ends up being totally awesome and not Whiny McEmopants like in G1 Also, Prime dying is nothing new, he's died in almost every continuity with a toy line (so far only RID and movieverse haven't had their Primes die; Energon/Cybertron is in Armada-continuity, and Armada Prime got blasted by the Hydra Cannon into bits; and Classics doesn't really count as its continuity was invented after the line had come and mostly gone.). Although considering how tramatic Prime's death in TFTM from the '80's was to the young generation then, I hope that's not repeated.
Let's see now... 1.Jetfire has a big gash in his Decepticon insignia on all of the toys we've seen which screams "I don't believe what you guys do!" 2.Prime is the equivalent of Superman, in that he's Hasbro's poster boy, is always truthful, and is a great hero to many. 3.Hasbro has learned the bad mistake of killing Optimus a loooong time ago. Something they STILL get crap about. 4.Hasbro is way more involved this time. Yeah. It's crap. Not gonna happen. If anything, Prime would leave an impression on Jetfire. Not the other way around.
