I may go to the store today, just to see if they have anything. So IF I come across Wheeljack and Soundwave, and they have more than one of each, which do you think I should get? Only have enough for one, as the rest of my money is tied up in Runabout atm lol EDIT:: crap, wanted to add a poll. oh well. Please give reasons too, as to why one over the other
Soundwave, as he's sufficiently unique. The Generations line already had a Wheeljack, whom I don't think is all that dissimilar from the Prime one.
Same colour scheme. Entirely different figure. I have both, and while they're both very cool, I'd probably plump for Jack. Wheeljack has an amazing alt-mode, excellent poseablity (all bar a bicep swivel), is incredibly solid and sturdy, nice paint apps, and he feels like a decent sized deluxe. Soundwave is still cool, and he is shortpacked, but I feel wheeljack represents better value for money.
The thing that turns me off on Wheeljack is that he comes with swords and no bicep swivel, making good poses hard to come by, while Soundwave is loaded with articulation, but is boring weapon wise.
I'd go for Wheeljack first as both modes look fantastic and the transformation looks like a lot more fun than Soundwave's, but I'll prob grab both when I see them
I'd politely disagree on both counts. Granted, Wheeljack lacks an upper bicep swivel in the traditional sense, but his arms can still pivot inwards and outwards at the shoulder, and he is LOADED, and i'll repeat that for emphasis, LOADED with poseability. Not only that, but he has the stability to back it up. He's happily stood on my desk right now in a one footed pose. Soundwave, on the other hand, while still decently poseable (particularly in the arm department) and an excellent figure, pales in comparison to to wheeljack when it comes to legs.
Soundwave. More shortpacked, and just looks better. Personally I think Wheeljack is overhyped. Everyone acts as if he's the best Prime figure to exist, but I don't get it.
