Unknown, robotkingdom is listing August 1 as their ship date for repugnus, but a western release isn’t known yet

TCJJ is a paying customer and Hasbro is theoretically in the business of making money. This artificial scarcity crap is a garbage business technique to make you pay more for things.

Hasbro has been messing up distribution with their Generations (non-movie) line pretty badly lately. I'm sure seeing an exclusive G1 character further limited is not pleasant for most fans without access to TRU.com (or with busy lives: the kind that may not troll the TRU website daily).

Still, I urge you to be more supportive of a fellow fan, NOT HASBRO. Hasbro won't be there to help you out of a jam, or offer friendly conversation when you're down: TCJJ might (being that he's a human being, not a money-obsessed corp!). If his comments offend you so much, try ignoring them, rather than responding and turning the comments into a full-blown conversation or argument. :(

Yeah, anything would be better, imo. He looks... just disappointing to me. I don't know what I expected. I'll hold judgment until I have him in-hand, but... wow. It's like three variants of Twinferno, and most fans disliked that mold (as evident by the piles of shelf-warming copies I've seen in stores).

It’s not an argument and I’m not really backing hasbro. What I am doing is applying logic to a scenario that is constantly blown out of proportion.

Which is why I think I can do well without all 3. I wouldn't even know where to stick Twinferno in an Autobot roster XD (season 3 maybe?)

To be fair though.....I see his point. I got Grotusque literally a week or so before the TRU.com website closed down. He was still readily available up until the end. So basically as long as you did any search on TRU.com for him you would've gotten him without much trouble. Assuming you're in the US at least. I ended up skipping Arcee so I can't really tell you how available she was or not but last I remember she was still up for sale even when Grotusque went up on TRU.

$10 for Twinferno and $25 for Grotusque. Not too monstrous so far for me :)

Oh and $5 for mini Repugnus, lol

Arcee was up for a long time, sold out eventually, I want to say about a month before TRU started to go into closing.

Basically if you're in the USA and missed out on Arcee and Grotusque then you either didn't have the money at the time, which I think we can all sympathize with, we've all been there, or you didn't want to buy them. Or, of.l course you weren't paying attention for weeks on end.

Hopefully same will be true here.

He doesn't look too shabby. :)  His alt mode's a little wonky but to be fair his alt mode was always a wonky bug thing to begin with so this is spot on in that regard.

They should have given him retools of TR Wolfwire\'s legs. Then the legs and proportions would have been great for both modes and for the G1 lovers more accurate.

I like Twinferno and Grotusque but I always prefer more modern designs (not G1 re-imaginations) or even futuristic (up-tp-date) redesigns. In 'bot mode Repugnus looks pretty good but in beast mode the proportions are pretty off and the legs attached to the sides and the abdomen hanging between them just look bad.
I don't know if the designers didn't get enough money to give him new legs or if they actually weren't able to come up with a better solution then the current one or maybe they thought the Monsterbots should look more consistent but it's just unfortunate.

I think monster bug mode will look better properly transformed, besides the swords being on wrong if the box art is right it seems the robot mode arms are in the wrong shop too.

The cover art suggests they fold around the back...

...but, hey, box art's been stylised before!
Even if the arms can't flip to the back with the forearms jutting out to the sides I think maybe they should be oriented more like the G1 toy original transformation rather than as modelled in the gallery.

The arms are folded around his back like in the cover art. They just exchanged the colors of the fore- and upper arms.
And what's wrong with the swords? I first thought that they are attached on the wrong sides but if you look carefully the hexagon halfs which are on the curved edge of the swords point to the outside.

The art for Blast-Off's bot mode shows him with the UW chest configuration...

By jove! The blades are it's just that it's the flatter edge nearer the hilt, they may have indeed done that colour swap. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Oh, hey, it's almost like I knew that point your inferring already!

Stylized and flat-out wrong are two different things.

Kinda want to get some CW Sunstreakers to get torn apart by Repugnus, Grotusque and Doublecross while they make bad jokes and EAT aforementioned Sunstreakers.

So I have a couple of questions.
    1. Is his head removable so I can use the titans head instead?
    2. Who is Dastard and is he a Prime?
Othe wise I like that they made this character to finish of the trio but I think the monster mode looked s little wonky due to the legs.
