I was planning to buy TM Repugnus TODAY after work, but now I will hold off. This is such joy, it makes me wish and hope for a very slight remold of Wolfwire into Fangry.

 

Ugh, do I need a second Hasbro Grotusque now or hope for a Takara release to get a set of each for both modes? Hoping he is a headmaster, but have a bad feeling he will be a combiner retool.

 

I think, with all the ‘brand alignment’ stuff, that it’s not worth holding out hope for Takara to update existing molds.

And yes, it’ll be interesting to see how they handle Repugnus. A retool of Rippersnapper, for instance, makes as much sense as a retool of Twinferno, even if the latter would probably be mire satisfying. If my CHUG Monsterbots are going to be stuck with a gimmick they didn’t originally have i’d Like them to at least be consistent.

 

This is wonderful news. I love it especially that Hasbro is willing to complete the trio in such short order.
That is a very nice thing from a collectors viewpoint.

 

Now I just have to hope Repugnus doesn't cost too much to get to/in the UK.

 

A mistake, surely?

 

This put me in a difficult spot, as I was about to buy CW Blast off and Brawl to complete my Bruticus. I'd prefer the shuttle version but if and when it'll be available for a decent price in Europe are scary questions. Life of a transformers fan is always hard...

I agree with Mr. Barrington Womble - it'd be nice if they were all Headmasters. I think I'm going to pick up a couple more Repugnus TitanMasters as his little drone army. It'll be a shame, though, if he's a Twinferno retool, because of my abiding hope for a new mold for him and Squeezeplay . . .

 

Wait..we getting a deluxe Repugnus to finished off the Monsterbots, too, I do owned the TR Verison, and now it's going to be the new Repugnus' weapon. Now I needing to get a Grotusque too before the new Deluxe-scale Repugnus comes out.

 

Nice! Get to complete the Monsterbots. Really hope we see a mass release Headmaster Nightbeat, Go-Shooter and Minvera eventually too.

 

Yeah, I noticed that! I assume it's some kind of placeholder price or something? I'm sure we're not getting them at that price.

A new mold would be the ideal! He's such a unique looking fucker that he really deserves it!

That said, I've been very impressed with how Hasbro have handled the Decepticon Target Masters and the Monsterbots we've got so far. They all look distinct enough that they don't just feel like shoddy and inappropriate repaints (hi CW Blast Off) but yet have a bunch of design commonalities that make them feel like a team, kinda like the G1 Dinobots and Insecticons looked like teams regardless of whether they all had similar paint jobs. That's another reason I think I'd rather have a redo of Twinferno than, say, Rippersnapper, even though Rippersnapper's shape is actually a pretty good fit for Repugnus.
