Just a little something I got from a friend of mine....
Could have just fired on his own...
Well, aside from what happened......*plays taps* We shall miss you, Megatron.
the part where megatron turns into a small handgun and optimus transformes into a truck and runs him over is funny
This is from Shortpacked.
But, he DIDN'T! That's what makes it so funny! Maximus Prime, pm me. I wanna have a talk with you.
This is pretty old, but still a chuckle.
True, he just couldn't aim or load himself.
so the whole thing, then
Gotta admit, the cartoon does make a good bit of sense. If only the movie went with a tank instead of a weird jet though.
This is old too: Heroes of Cybertron
I like this final fight of Prime and Megs better. ;-)
Good laugh, Megs would be a disadvantage without somebody to aim him and fire.
I was getting ready to say something about how editing out Walky's copyright line was bad, but upon checking the original I notice it never had one. I guess it's his own fault if he doesn't get credit for his stuff, if he forgets to sign it.
EDIT: upon further inspection of the original post, that *is* the original, so I would say that leeching Mr. Willis's bandwidth *is* a bad thing.
and while still inferior this is why galvatron was an upgrade, no lackies needed.
it's easy to poke fun at Megatron being a gun and requiring people to hold him, but keep in mind that Shockwave turned into a giant gun that could fly and aim itself. Megatron probably COULD do that, the writers just never depicted him as such. The way I saw it, he turned into a gun to focus his cannon shots.
This is just my interpretation, and could more than likely easily be disproven, but in the movie, in the scenes where he fires at lookout mountain, and fires at Prime only to have Prime dodge it, it seems like once he fires a shot in robot mode, the energy just flares out with little trajectory.
When he's in pistol mode, he focuses and pinpoints all his energy into a single straight shot, thus increasing both his accuracy and his firing power. Why would he turn into a "useless" alt mode if he's such a shrewd military leader? (I mean in-fiction wise, not the fact that he was plucked from Microchange without a thought). Surely there's a point to it and I believe this is it.
So in his alt mode Megatron can only fire but can't aim worth a damn? Then that comic more or less highlighted one of his biggest weakness. As a gun even if he can kill any TF in one shot it wouldn't do him any good if he didn't have one of his lackies holding him.
The Queen has been struck down!!!!!!! WAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I said that about his robot mode. The point of his alt mode IS aiming
