Here's the thing: while Animated may have the "kiddier" aesthetic, Prime has the kiddier story. Its so simple. Animated had a really interesting and compelling story, especially season 2 and 3.

 

Both are equal since animated had the best transformers toys (Really accuarate yet simple to transform) but I like the prime story more then the animated cartoon but I still love animated  

 

Animated for sure. The characters and storyline in Animated, for me, are more interesting and engaging, and, whilst I love the animation in Prime, I just don't find myself liking the characters in Prime as much. Plus, I love the Animated toyline and its aesthetic.

 

Not really a big TF cartoon fan, but I definitely prefer "Prime" to "Animated".

 

I prefer Prime over Animated.

 

I give props to Prime for taking a lot of the general nature of the live action films and filtering out 90 percent of the stupid, and I don't think it deserves most of the crap thrown at it, but I'll still give the edge to Animated, as it is good fun, yet plenty thoughtful and dramatic when the situation calls for it.

Prime, absolutely no contest there. I would say I couldn't care less about Animated, but then I remember the movie-verse...

 

Animated by miles. It actually featured some character development beyond "2 OF MY PARTNERS R DEAD SO NO1 ELSE DIE PLS", plus I'm really fed up of how bland Prime Optimus is.

 

I agree, that's what I appreciate about Prime. But I did pick Animated as well, the writing was just a little more cheeky and clever.

 

I don't like Animated and the Prime in Prime is just Prime !

 

Animated all day, good character development, the right amount of humor, and some damn good writing, seasons 2 and 3 are the best! Got some good toys too

 

I'm gonna say Animated, although I don't know if I can really fairly judge, as I haven't seen that much of Prime.

Animated gripped me from the start, but I after watching the five part pilot episodes of Prime, I really had no interest.

And people are saying Animated's animation was bad? I thought everything was fluid and well-animated. At least compared the Unicron trilogy... >_<

 

Animated. In terms of depth and moving things along, Animated is like a giant ocean full of life and TFP is like a stagnant puddle.

 

Both are equally awesome!

Prime has better pictures or graphics (CGI).

Animated has better "story line".

Tough call.

 

Prime has better character development, but Animated is far more exciting. Prime really just plods along and most of the series is rather forgetable.

Animated gets the victory here by a comfortable margin.

 

Prime really doesn't have better character development, no matter how you look at it.

I´m sorry, did somebody sad the Decepticons had a "reasonable goal"? Since when is conquering a reasonable goal? I swear, some people here need to check their moral compass.

That said, I like them both, but I prefer Prime on the account he Autobos aren´t made fools of 90% of the time.

 

Animated easily....
