And I agree with your last part too, they coulda went really cliche with him (had the novels not established a mode for him and theme) and made him transform into some kind of ship/sail boat lol.

 

Not at all. I think a beast-former get the attention for some of us. Magnus still looks good though.

Thundertron and his Star Seekers are pirates, yes. But there's no proof as of YET at least, that they all have beast altmodes. In fact, Axer joins the crew and doesn't have such an altmode.

You're close on why they hate the Cybertronians. They hate them because Cybertron let the -space bridges- fall. And without the bridges, the colony worlds eventually dwindled down to shadows of their former selves. Some eventually fell completely, such as Thundertron's, some stabilized, such as vehiconia/Speed Planet.

The Star Seekers hate all CYBERTRONIANS. Not all Transformers. There's a difference here. All Transformers are Transformers. But not all Transformers are also Cybertronian. Star Seekers hate those TFs that lived on Cybertron. They have absolutely no enmity towards Transformers from other colony worlds, such as those on Vehiconia or Gigantia. Unless of course, the colony world TF give them a reason to hate them. But it's Cybertron and the TFs who lived there, after the colonies were done, that they hate.

 

Hello All-

Both Magnus and Thundertron are 'musts' for me. Looking at Thundertron, I can see a Tigerhawk (or updated Tigatron) coming from the mold eventually. Lio Convoy would be nice too!

At any rate, Prime toys seem to be growing on me the more I see of them!

WOW your right!. But UM's face reminds me more of Oden than Thor.

 

UM's alt mode is a little lackluster, but the robot mode is nice. Thundertron is actually pretty damn sweet. And I'd really like to see a Cannonball repaint out of Ratchet to go with him.

 

Is it weird that I like Ultra Magnus' weapon more than I do the figure itself?

 

Could use a longer handle, like his Cyberverse figure.
