I was just wondering what other folks thought concerning this? With the confirmation that they are set in the same continuity and by virtue of it being a CGI show the chances of non-show characters to fill out the toyline being pretty high (I mean Hot Shot might appear in the show, indeed that he would use 90% of the same character model as BB seems to increase the likelyhood to an extent) would anyone else be interested in toys for Heatwave, Chase, Boulder and Blades but done in "Prime" style?

While it's highly unlikely, I'd be all for better Prime series figures of the Four Rescue bots. The actual toys look like crap and are horribly inaccurate to the show because of the over-simplified Transformations. Hell, just slap a new paint job and a more accurate Boulder head on the old Crossovers Hulk mold and I'd be happy.

I'm down. I could go for them being classics-fied even (except Heatwave, his design is pretty much Inferno)

I would love it...I'd be all over a Prime version of Heatwave and Blades. Jeff did say something about the two crossing over, tho not sure if it'll be Prime bots in RB, or RB in Prime. I'm hoping for RB in Prime personally...we'll see how it goes.

Be cool to see and I might pick some up, depending if I like the figure or not.

I love Blades and would totally want a Prime figure of him chilling with the rest.

While we're on the subject, little figures of the Burns family in the same style as the Jack, Miko and Raf toys would be great as well.

I'd be up for that. It would indeed be a great way to pad out the TFP line with extra characters that, even if they don't show up in the Prime show, do have currently running media of their own.

Although I kind of roll my eyes at the idea that both shows exist in the same universe, given just how much more cartoony Rescue Bot is compared to TFP. But whatever...I don't hate the show. I'm actually in the camp of someone who would like a proper figure of Blades.

I agree though from a technical standpoint it would be far easier for a Prime character to cameo in RB than the other way around (though far less cool...)

Really!? Did he say they were thinking about it or it's definitely going to happen?

I would totally be up for the seeing the Rescue Bots done in the Prime style.

It was in the last interview he did with Steve Blum...they were talking about crossovers but I don't think it was completely agreed upon yet, but it's something they wanna do.

I'd be interested in seeing them made. Especially if they were given Cyberverse toys. If nobody else, Chase would be great to see brought over.

they'll probably just have optimus and bumblebee show up in a couple "Rescue bots" episodes...maybe some decepticons. I think they would do that to boost interest in "Rescue Bots". They don't really need kids ages 3-6 watching "Prime". There is already a pretty strong following. Plus...the cost for the animation in "Prime" is higher than the cost for the "Rescue Bots" animation. It just makes good business sense.

They'd probably fit into Cy-verse quite nicely.
