Ahh finally finished it. I have a bad headache right now. I worked on this one tons oh hours straight , love the outcome tho, wanted to mix the Prime line with the movie style shockwave which i love so much. Has a led light in the arm and attachable blade that can be stored in alt mode. changed few things in the head and armor. hope you like it , let me know if you all have any questions. :)

This is excellent! I could hardly tell who the base figure was then when I realized that it was megsy I saw how much mods you did :D  especially love the feet, he's just such a perfect blend between movie shockwave and the prime style ;)

I don't comment all that often, but really felt the need here.
FANTASTIC! I truly enjoy this custom. The blend of aesthetics works very well, and you did a great job bringing them together.
Bonus points for staying away from the 'action master' realm and giving it a great transformation.

Any chance of sharing the 'recipe' for this?

nice man, I had zero love for the movie shockwave but if they had this as his official movie figure I would have bought it! Nice paint apps too

In agreement with all of the above - original, inventive, fun and kickass cool looking. I second the request for a more detailed description of how you went about doing this; it's one of those customs that makes you curious to know the thinking and work that went into it!

I'm sorry I did not take any pics while I was working on the led part, but its was quite easy because the led light its actually one piece, its a bright book reading led lamp that I modified(took out the extra junk to make it smaller). So I just attached the battery pack to the back of the figure drilled a hole in the arm where you see the hose go in and glued the hose to the arm that's it. Im gonna try to take pics next time.

Well this custom wasn't that hard at all, Firs i took the whole figure apart. I removed the hand and added the DOTM voyager size shockwave cannon tip to the hand. i had to use the dremel and then glued in there good. I also used the voyager Shockwave head and I reshaped it by sanding and taking off plastic to make it a bit smaller and more flat on the sides and shaved off some of the antennas so they would look smaller. The head is on a ball joint and I added a yellow(G1) jewel to the eye to make it reflect light.

I boiled the shoulder armor and was able to separate the shoulder armor in 2 pieces so that's what I used on the feet and left the part with the ball joint on ts original place so i can attach the new shoulder pads taken from transmetal depthcharge. Drilled holes in shockwave's shoulder armor and stuck the new pads there nicely using its own pegs.

Shaved off some of the armor pieces like in the chest area, a little in the stomach area and a little in the knee pads just to make it look a bit different.
I added the blade to his arm by just cutting a small hole that can fit tight enough in to the hands swivel hinge thingy. (Blade was taken from a human alliance sideswipe) after all mods where done I started the paint. For the alt mode the figure its just mis-transformed to make it look like a hover/tank/jet.

I hope this helps if not ask me, I don't mind sharing the recipe, I'm kinda bad at explaining things lol , that's why next time Ill take pics. thank you

Ahhh...interesting, I'll have to post how I solved it. I'm working on a Blood of Unicron Megatron with the same fig and I actually managed to get a battery, a switch aaaaand the LED into both forearms. I didn't want to run wires through the arms as I figured with with repeated bending, posing and transforming the wires will eventually break. I'll post pics of how I did it when I finish re-assembling. Paint is all done, I just need a third hand to help me get all the pins back in. Sometimes hard to do by yourself. And, I'm still working on the chest LED system, but that fits snuggly in between the plates on the inside of the back pack. so the figure doesn't have to be in pieces to insert.
