    It has more to do with the trend, since there's no mention of said 'Bot again, our luck he's there for one ep and will randomly show up again way later in the show, if he survives, following in the lovely tracks left by Wheeljack and Skyquake.

    I just hope whoever this new bot is they keep him a part of the team instead of what they're doing with Wheeljack where we see him once or twice every now and then.

    Well in TFA he masqueraded as Longarm. So It's entirely possible he's a double agent.

    Red Energon. Great. Now they can show a Cybertronian bleeding red blood. Oh wait, the Y-7 censors would never allow for that even though they are allowing for Silas' bloody scars. Hey maybe Silas gets red Energon injected into him explaining how he comes back from practically the brink of death.
