Video Review of the Transformers Prime (RiD) Deluxe Class: Ratchet - YouTube
A solid figure. Thanks for the review, it was pretty thorough.
If they do come out with a voyager later on, I'd gladly buy him too.
Great review! At first I was worried that he may have a huge back kibble but thankfully he doesn't! I'm also glad that he can display his swords like in the show! Bought on sight!
I think he may come out with a Voyager one day. I mean Starscream was able to have one even though he had a deluxe in the FE so there's a good chance Ratceht would get the same. I hope that Soundwave gets the same treatment too!
Hope everything is okay. Wishing you the best.
Thanks for posting this. He looks better in the video than I originally gave him credit for. Here's hoping Takara gives him a little touch up! But I'm looking forward to him either way.
Glad to help
Yeah, you definitely made this figure look better than I initially though.
Not sure if I'll pick it up, gonna wait and see if a voyager version comes out.
Still, glad to see P:RID has some more quality figures added to the roster though!
Not bad. Sucks that he's a bit small but I doubt they'll bother making a Voyager class figure of Ratchet given that they kept reusing that old Deluxe mold of him over and over again in the Bayverse toy line. (Only reason Starscream is getting both a Deluxe and a Voyager is because he's one of the "Big Four" Transformers characters -- Screamer, Optimus, Megatron, and Bee -- as far as popularity.) My guess is that this is as good as he gets outside of a Takara version and/or a Reprolabels sticker set to fill in the missing paint app details.
Hope things work out for you, OB.
Great review as always. If I were getting more Prime toys, this guy would definitely be on my list. I am disappointed but not surprised at the lack of paint, but my red gundam marker could take care of that relatively easily, since red is a basic color.
Like I said in the comments on youtube though, I think you should refer to takara "fixing" stuff a little less, since a) the takara versions might be inaccessible to a lot of your viewers, and b) their versions have gotten closer and closer to the hasbro versions over the years. Although I guess the fact that they didn't do anything special with the dotm toys doesn't mean that they won't continue to fix the Prime toys as they have been doing.
Thanks for the review. I think the figure is pretty solid, and I don't really think scale should be held against hiim. As far as deluxes go, you kinda know what you're gonna get, so I wasn't expecting any kind of real fitting in by the show's standards.

Very nice. The fact that he's a deluxe doesn't bother me because I was gonna replace my Classics Ratchet with him. Speaking of which, do you think you could put him in a group shot with some Classics to see if he "fits in?" (for the most part I shouldnt care since I use Animated Arcee between Hot Rod and Blurr, but I'm still curious) Maybe Prime, Bumblebee, Hound, and Tracks?
Sure. Sorry, forgot BB by the time I actually gathered the figures:
works for me!

Behold the glory that is a deluxe class Jeffrey Combs that transforms into the Stabulance. Thanks for watching
Great review, and the more I see you pushing this figure, the more I wanna say screw it & just get it online. I mean if nothing else, this is easily my favorite from the RID line so far (not even including my affinity for Jeffery Combs & the character itself), and the only issue I have with the toy involves the back end of its alt mode being unpainted & kinda looking like it was rear ended by Brakedown... which is more than forgivable. Plus, the leg storage is awesome, so its all good.
Hey thanks boss. And honestly, in hand, the back end/backpack is awesome too.
I'm sure you're right, and even if my feelings on tiny that part of the toy stay the same after the fact, the front end will still grab me anyway, so again, no biggie. Plus, most of the small peeves that I have before I buy figures end up being overlooked once I own em because the inherent need to focus on those parts goes away. For example, the backpack & horizontal leg panels on Deluxe Megatron used to bug me a little, but now that I've got him in hand, I feel like an idiot for even thinking twice about em. Heck, the scale difference between him & the voyager Prime doesn't even matter because it's really only noticeable if they're standing next to each other.
... and the Dr of Doom will be joining him most certainly.
I love that. Dr. of Doom.
