These are beautiful. Any tips for getting pins out of the TR Voyagers?

I’ve tried a watch pin remover but the pins are hard to line up in the device. I’ve tried hammer and pinpush but nothing budges. I’ve tried a soldering iron and the pin gets fairly hot but neither neodymium magnets or hammering from the small end seem to dislodge the pins.

Specifically trying TR Megatron’s legs but that style of pin seems common.

Thank you. They're not finished but I'm getting there.

I wish I could help with the pins. There's a few I want to remove myself but I've no suggestions beyond what you've said already.

Thanks. I saw someone else painted or photoshopped legends Rodimus as Stake Out but I wanted the oversized ko to put him close in scale to the Diaclones.

I've bought 6 of the ko so far. I already painted one as Prime Smokescreen.
I want to do Sideburn and some other characters too.

As someone who has always modded Voyagers (they used to have more screws and more room to work with), honest question:

Do you find the new Deluxes easier to work with than Voyagers? I guess a shorter pin is easier to get out? I’m going to be tinkering with Breakaway later in the week (hoping to pretty thoroughly disassemble and dye) and I have a spare PotP Jazz I’m thinking about turning into Ricochet, Autorooper, or Zoomzoom.

Honestly I don't find any difference working with deluxes or Voyagers. It's down to the figure itself.

I've never been able to remove a pin.

What ways have you tried? Usually I just get someone to help me hold it or use a vice and then get a good few hits on the pin until you can pull it out with some pliers

I've just tried very thin or small screwdrivers or Rods.

It was another oversized ko Hot Rod. I bought 6 so far but the first 2 broke at the ball joint in the shoulder. I tried removing the pin so I could replace them but its too tight.

Thankfully the last 4 have been ok as shown with my custom Stake Out.

If you’re not removing pins then the work you’re doing is magic! I just assumed you were disassembling/dyeing.

    Thanks.

I've disassembled a few of the toys where they have screws or the ball joints pop off. Though that's mainly if I'm spraying them.

I also used disposable paint brushes. You can get packs of various sizes for €2 which is very cheap.

    Otherwise it's all patience.

I can't wait to see how they turn out, although I wish that battle trap was at least a triple changer.

Thanks guys. I'm happy enough using the Rotorstorm mold. As long as it looks recognisable as Battletrap in bot mode that's all I want.
