Years ago I put a different head on rotf Nightbeat and swapped his legs around to give him a more G1 vibe. After buying a Cliffjumper head last week for TR Chase, I've been wondering if I could use the head for something. Then I had a brainwave. I pulled Rotf Dead End, also known as Detour, out of storage. He shared a name with and had a similar car mode to Micromaster Detour. TR Chase's head isn't a million miles from the Micromaster either. So with a quick head swap, here's ROTF Detour repurposed as his G1 self.... Also I've got a WIP RID 2000 REVS from G1 Sideswipe....
i feel ya there. me personally, i avoid painting as much as possible and try to rely on partswapping compatible molds. i havent painted much since the prime series and only ever done one complete repaint myself, mostly was simple detail work
Well you've some nice ideas and your Targetmasters are looking nice. Primus, let's be honest I borrowed your idea for Sureshot. People only copy something they think is good so please take that as a compliment. I started customising 2 years ago but it's only lately I've been posting stuff here. There were repaints I wanted for years that never got official toys so I finally decided to try my hand at a few. The feedback has been encouraging for which I am very grateful. It's a nice creative side hobby and I do find it relaxes me.
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery haha, my first custom was adding paint to prid Optimus prime and my first(only) full on repaint was generations roadbuster into beast machines tankor
Thank you. I wanted a large Acid Storm for a long time. I think it worked well. After Stranglehold, I have been checking other Transformers to see if they're compatible with Titanmasters once you remove the head. I think Doubledealer could work for a G1 version of Prime Dreadwing.
